Plastic ocean

Today I decided to walk around my neighbourhood (taking the dog with me) to pick up rubbish
and yip, there was loads of rubbish. It makes you feel really great doing this as all that rubbish would have eventually ended up in the plastic ocean! If you don't know what it is than listen up!!
Its in the central north Pacific ocean and is basically a HUGE pile of rubbish,it's 600,000 square miles (twice the sise of Texas!!)which has collected over time from all the rubbish in the world,it's weird I know but eventually all the bits of rubbish that are dropped end up there!!! But its not as harmless as it may seem.Think about all the sea creatures,birds and wildlife,most of them die as they eat all the little bits of plastic thinking they are food.Heres some pictures:
